My Granddaughter’ Prayer

My beautiful granddaughter!
Keep our love in our hearts.
We will never leave until we stop.
We will all be in our hearts together.
If anyone tries to torn us, we will be there.

Everyone's heart has different abilities, and different feelings.
In our hearts we should combine to make a really, really awesome team.
To make it, the world, a better place.

'Come Lord Jesus, be our guest. And let this food to us be blessed. Amen!'

Clouds move us from 2021, into 2022

I Know Not Why
by Morris Rosenfeld
I lift my eyes against the sky,
The clouds are weeping, so am I;
I left mine eyes again on high,
The sun is smiling, so am I.
Why do I smile? Why do I weep?
I do not know; it lies too deep.
I hear the winds of autumn sigh,
They break my heart,
they make me cry;
I hear the birds of lovely spring,
My hopes revive, I help them sing.

Why do I sing? Why do I cry?

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas

The Gospel of Matthew chapter 1, verses 16 to 25.

The Birth of Jesus

This is how the birth of Jesus came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit. Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.

But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”

All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: “The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel ” which means, “God with us.”

When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. But he had no union with her until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.

Christmas Lights

On ice….
In the summer,
fountains flow.
Little children, jumping,
to and from.
‘Oh Christmas Tree’
Today, beautiful Christmas lights
are on display.
The star of Bethlehem,
leads the way.
Whiteness
The lights so bright.
The trees so tall.
Blue on blue
The cityscape.
The boats are gone.
Ducks still swim.
Nice and warm.
Beautiful lights..
Beautiful lights.
Red and bright.
Takes the darkness,
out of the night.
Christmas in the City

Christmas, in the city.

Christmas in a Town
Christmas, in a town.
Christmas, the whole world round.
Christmas, the whole world round.

Timbiebs…

You do not regret the purchase…

I’m not very familiar with the music Of Justin Bieber, or a huge fan of Tim Horton’s Tim Bits.

But the new Tim Horton’s commercial featuring Justin Bieber, and his imagination, made me want to get into my car and drive to my nearest Tim Horton’s.

And so I did!

And I was definitely happy with my purchase!

Now to check out a Justin Bieber tune.

They did not last very long.

The Gibson Trail

The Gibson Trail
Hiking the Gibson Trail,
on a cold, crisp, autumn day.
Making the kind of memories
that don't fade away.
Colours of fall.
Most leaves have fallen,
others cling on tight.
Colours of nature,
shine through,
brilliantly bright.
The beautiful sumac.
Reds and greys,
Browns and blacks.
Healing berries,
of the beautiful sumac.
Broken, yet very much alive!
Trees.
Showing their beauty,
Inside, and out.
Old memories, close to the Gibson Trail.

Remembering old memories.

Creating new memories.

Flowers on a log.
Flowers on a log.

Prettiest of them all!

Introduction to Stone Carving….

Art in the Marsh – Introduction to Stone Carving

Last weekend, my daughter and I spent a lovely couple of hours together, at the Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre carving stones.

Pulling out the colours…

Art in the Marsh – Introduction to Stone Carving. Under the instruction of local artist and teacher Lisa Harpell, our pieces of alabaster magically turned in beautiful little sculptures.

Clouds and mountains, Katie’s works of art.

Carving alabaster, first using rasps, following with numerous grades of wet sandpaper, the colours were pulled out of our pieces of rock.

My little princess dress…

It was, at the same time easier than I expected, and more difficult than I expected.

Definitely something I will do again.

So glad things are starting to open up again. In person, is so much more rewarding than a Zoom meeting.

A Cold, Crisp, Autumn Day

Hiking in Earl Row Provincial Park, in New Tecumseh.
A cold, crisp, autumn day, when you can see your breath; and the beauty of the day, takes your breath away.
